Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to the Valkyries of Converse University with a final score of 3-1 this evening at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU began things on a strong note, taking set one with a score of 25-22. However, Converse would bounce back and dominate set two with a score of 25-13. Set three proved to be a thriller as multiple extra points were required, but the Valkyries would go on to take the set with a score of 31-29. The fourth set proved to be competitive as well, but Converse would ultimately win the set with a score of 25-21. North Greenville finished with a .200 attack percentage led in total blocks 5-3 but trailed in points, kills, service aces, assists, and digs.
Samantha Ball posted a double-double with 19 kills and 13 digs as well as a service ace.
Anna Fiddelke recorded 8 kills, 5 digs, and 2 solo blocks.
Peyton Taylor finished with 8 kills, 9 digs, 3 service aces, 2 solo blocks, and a block assist.
NGU will take on the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College on Friday, October 31st in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
