The North Greenville Trailblazers suffered a 1-0 shutout against the Valkyries of Converse University earlier this evening in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Both teams put up their fair share of shots, with Converse narrowly leading in the category 21-16. The Valkyries were able to get on the board in the 34th minute of the match. The Trailblazers put up an even attack, posting eight shots in both halves. However, they would be unable to score the equalizer as Converse would hang on for the win. North Greenville did lead in saves 13-9.
Anna Rickle put together an impressive performance at goalkeeper, finishing with 13 saves and just 1 goal allowed.
Izzy Fidhel led NGU with 4 shots with 1 on goal.
Aubrey Kramer posted 3 shots with 2 on goal.
North Greenville will return to action on Saturday, October 4th against the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College at Pepsi Stadium.
