The North Greenville Trailblazers notched their third overall as well as conference win of the season with a 59-51 victory against the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Both teams put together a strong opening quarter as Lees-McRae took a 20-16 lead going into the second quarter. The Bobcats went ice cold throughout the quarter, scoring just four points while NGU continued to look strong from the field. Another sixteen points by the Trailblazers allowed them to take a 31-24 lead into halftime. Lees-McRae was aggressive in the third quarter, putting up a total of eighteen shots. However, only five would result in points as the two teams posted fourteen points each in the third. North Greenville matched LMC's point total in the fourth quarter as well, finishing with thirteen points each. NGU finished up the afternoon with a .407 field goal percentage and led in points in the paint with twenty-two as well as second chance points with six.
Tabitha Littlefield led NGU in points with fourteen. She also provided eight rebounds and two blocks.
Ja'Mari Frederick posted twelve points, seven rebounds, two assists, and a block.
Abi Oates recorded ten points as well as five rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
NGU will return to action on Saturday, January 11th against the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University at Hayes Gymnasium
