Second Chance Points Lead to Victory over King

The North Greenville Trailblazers ended their recent losing streak with a 55-46 victory over the Tornado of King University in Bristol, Tennessee. NGU put together an impressive afternoon offensively, finishing with a .423 percentage from the field. Second chance points told the story as eleven offensive rebounds led to fourteen points. The Trailblazers outscored the Tornado in both quarter in the first half, resulting in a 26-21 lead at halftime. North Greenville also outperformed King in the third quarter, and although King did outscore North Greenville by a point in the fourth quarter, NGU still was able to hang on for a nine point victory. 

Amaijah Smith posted a twelve point performance along with seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal. Ja'Mari Frederick also recorded twelve points in addition to four rebounds and two steals. Grace Ikenegbu put together a solid performance, finishing with eight points, seven rebounds, a steal, and an assist.

NGU will face the Bulldogs of Barton College on Saturday, February 1st in Wilson, North Carolina.
