The North Greenville Trailblazers were nearly able to complete a double-digit comeback, but ultimately fell to the Tornado of King University with a final score of 80-75 in Bristol, Tennessee. NGU fell behind by double digits in the first half and trailed by as much as twenty in the second half. However, the Trailblazers would storm back late to pull back within four points. It would not quite be enough as King was able to hang on by five points. North Greenville was able to capitalize off of turnovers, doubling King's amount with twenty-two points off turnovers. However, free throws proved to be a struggle, with NGU converting just forteen of twenty-three at the line.
Michael Wilson, Jr. impressed with twenty-one points along with nine rebounds, four steals, and three assists.
CaDarrius Sowell posted fifteen points, five rebounds, and an assist.
Max Topham finished with ten points, six rebounds, two assists, and a block.
NGU will face the Bulldogs of Barton College on Saturday, February 1st in Wilson, North Carolina.
