Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders put together a 12-4 victory against Belmont Abbey College on a windy afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. NGU ended any doubts early on, scoring nine straight runs throughout the four innings. Belmont Abbey was able to get on the board with four runs in the 5th, but North Greenville would respond with a run in the 7th and two insurance runs in the 8th. Landon Shaw.
Brent Stukes threw 2.2 scoreless innings with just one hit allowed and was the winning pitcher. North Greenville also showed off a lot of speed, finishing with a total of nine stolen bases.
Dakota Britt put together a memorable performance, finishing the game with 5 stolen bases as well as 2 hits and 4 runs scored.
Landon Shaw posted 3 hits including 2 home runs. He also recorded 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
