The North Greenville Crusaders finished up the 2024 regular season with a 3-2 victory against the Lions of Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Although the Crusaders posted one of their best single set attack percentages to open up the match (.609), Emmanuel was able to take the opening set with a close score of 25-23. The same score would be the result of set two, but favoring the Crusaders instead. NGU also kept the momentum and took set three with a score of 25-21 before EU bounced back to take set four 25-23. The Crusaders went on to dominate the 5th and final set including a nine point run, ending the set with a score of 15-6. NGU finished the match with a .377 hit percentage and led in points, kills, blocks, assists, and digs while slightly trailing in service aces. With the win, the Crusaders clinched the #2 seed in the upcoming Conference Carolinas Tournament, finishing with a 14-8 overall record with an 11-3 record in conference play.
Logan Keothavy posted 23 kills as well as 7 digs and a block assist.
Diego Rosich finished with 21 kills, 9 digs, 3 block assists, and an assist.
Logan Taylor provided 56 assists, 11 digs, and 2 block assists.
North Greenville will return to action in the Conference Carolinas Tournament as the #2 seed and will face either King or Erskine in the semifinals of the tournament on Friday, April 19th in North Charleston, South Carolina.
