North Greenville left Mount Olive, North Carolina with a 3-2 victory over the Mount Olive Trojans earlier this afternoon. The two teams alternated sets as Mount Olive took sets one and three while NGU bounced back twice by taking sets two and four. NGU put together a solid set five, hitting .583 with just one attack error committed to take a 15-9 set win. The Crusaders led the afternoon in service aces 10-5 as well as points 76-5-75.0 while tying UMO in kills with 53 and trailing in assists, blocks, and digs. Both teams finished with nearly identical hit percentages as NGU slightly finished leading in the category with a .177 percentage while Mount Olive finished with a .176 percentage.
Mark Autry put together a dominant performance, finishing with 14 kills, 3 block assists, 3 digs, and a service ace.
Diego Rosich posted 11 kills, 7 digs, 4 block assists, and 3 service aces.
Logan Keothavy recorded 10 kills, 2 block assists, a service ace, and a dig.
NGU returns to action on Tuesday, March 26th against the Pioneers of Tusculum University at Hayes Gymnasium.
