Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders fell to the 24th ranked Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne University on a rainy afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field with a final score of 8-1. Both teams went scoreless until the 3rd inning when the Bears were able to get on the board with four runs in the inning. After Lenoir-Rhyne added an additional run in the 5th, the Crusaders responded with a run of their own in the 5th by way of an RBI single by
Dakota Britt. However, L-R would increase the lead with a run in the 6th and two runs in the 8th.
Brent Stukes was charged with the loss as a total of ten pitchers took the mount for the Crusaders.
Dakota Britt posted 2 hits as well as NGU's only RBI of the game.
David Lewis recorded a hit and a walk.
Reece Fields pitched a perfect inning.
North Greenville will head to Central, South Carolina to face the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University on Friday, March 1st.
