Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders suffered a rare home loss to the Wolves of Newberry College this afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field with a final score of 5-3. NGU led with the first run of the game in the 4th inning, but the Wolves would take the lead with three runs in the 6th. After a solo shot by David Lewis in the bottom of the inning, the Wolves increased the lead with two more runs in the 7th. North Greenville came through with another solo home run by Brett Blomquist in the bottom of the 7th, but that would be it for the run column as pitching would control the 8th and 9th innings. Cole Munhall was charged with the loss.

David Lewis posted 3 hits including a home run and a double as well as two runs scored and an RBI. Brett Blomquist finished with 2 hits including a home run, an RBI, and a run scored. Zach Cowart also collected 2 hits.

NGU returns to action tomorrow against the Bobcats of Georgia College at Ray & Bea Dillard Field.
