North Greenville left Due West, South Carolina with a 3-2 victory over the Flying Fleet of Erskine College. Erskine narrowly took the opening set, but NGU responded by dominating set two 25-16 and winning a closely-contested set three 25-23. The Flying Fleet bounced back to win set four 25-22 to force a fifth set, but NGU would come out ahead to win set five 15-12. North Greenville led in all major categories and finished the day with a .306 hitting percentage. Set two proved to be NGU's best set of the match as the Crusaders would post a .593 attack percentage for the set, recording nineteen kills and committing just three errors.
