The North Greenville Trailblazers ended the evening still in search of their first win as they were unable to preserve a double-digit lead. Trailing by ten, the Flying Fleet of Erskine College was able to complete a fourth quarter comeback to defeat NGU with a final score of 67-61 in Due West, South Carolina. The two teams would get off to a slow start with North Greenville shooting just 22.2% from the field, allowing the Flying Fleet to take a 15-11 at the end of the first quarter. Things would improve for NGU in the second as an even 50% field goal percentage in the second quarter led to just a three point deficit going into halftime for the Trailblazers. North Greenville was able to dominate the third quarter, making over half of shots from the field to outscore Erskine 20-9 in the quarter leading to an eight point lead going into the fourth quarter. NGU scored the opening jumper to lead by double digits. However, the Flying Fleet would put together an impressive comeback by making eleven of fifteen shots from the field to complete the comeback. The two teams finished the evening with nearly identical offensive rebounds as well as points off turnovers. However, Erskine dominated the game in fast break points with nineteen compared to just three by NGU.
Ja'Mari Frederick finished with thirteen points as well as seven rebounds, five assists, a block, and a steal.
Tabitha Littlefield also posted thirteen points in addition to two rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Austin Johnson recorded eight rebounds as well as six points, an assist, a block, and a steal.
NGU will return to action on Wednesday, December 4th to take on the Mount Olive Trojans in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
