Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers finished off a perfect week with a 3-1 victory over the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. North Greenville took the opening set 25-19, but Young Harris responded to take set two 25-21. However, the Trailblazers reclaimed the lead by taking set three 25-19 and also winning set four 25-18. NGU finished the match with a .224 hitting percentage and led in kills, aces, assists, and digs while tying the Mountain Lions in blocks. The win improves NGU's overall record to 11-12 with an 8-3 record in conference play.
Nicole Santiago put together an impressive match, leading NGU in kills with 12 while also providing two block assists, two digs, and an assist.
Samantha Ball posted a double-double with ten kills and ten digs along with three service aces, a block assist, and an assist.
Anna Fiddelke recorded eleven kills, three block assists, two digs, and a solo block.
North Greenville will face the Valkyries of Converse University on Tuesday, October 29 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
