Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders returned to a .500 record in conference play with a 62-45 win over the Mount Olive Trojans this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. After leading by five at the end of the first quarter, the Crusaders went on to dominate the second quarter to take a 38-19 lead into halftime. Although the Trojans outscored NGU by two in the third and matched North Greenville's fourth quarter points, the Crusaders were able to maintain the lead by a comfortable margin to hang on for the win. NGU led slightly in overall field goal percentage (.350) while UMO finished with a slight lead in percentage from the three point line (.278). With the win, NGU improved to a 10-5 overall record with a 4-4 record in conference play.
Tabitha Littlefield neared a double-double, finishing with 19 points and 9 rebounds. She also provided a block and a steal.
Angie Rodriguez also nearly completed a double-double with 10 rebounds and 9 points while also posting 6 assists and a steal.
Greyson Boone finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.
North Greenville will face the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College on Wednesday, January 17th in Young Harris, Georgia.
