North Greenville wrapped up the 2023 regular season with a 19-8 victory over the Lions of Emmanuel College this afternoon in Franklin Springs, Georgia. The Crusaders took control of the game early on, taking a 9-1 lead in the opening quarter. After the Lions scored the first goal of the second quarter, NGU responded with three consecutive goals to take a 12-2 lead into halftime. Both teams would turn to defense in the third quarter as both teams scored just one goal throughout the quarter. However, things would change in the fourth as eleven goals were scored in the final quarter, with NGU scoring six of them. With the regular season finished, the Crusaders finish with a 9-6 overall record and a 5-1 record in conference play. The win locks NGU in as the #2 in the upcoming Conference Carolinas Tournament.
