The North Greenville Crusaders clinched yet another conference series with a doubleheader split against the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College. NGU dropped game two of the series with a score of 9-3 but bounced back in game three with a final score of 11-1. North Greenville finished the day with a total of 14 runs, 20 hits, and three errors.
Noah Takac took the start in game two but struggled on the mound, allowing six earned runs in 3.2 innings pitched. He would ultimately be charged with the loss. NGU did end the game with the final two runs, but it would not be enough as Belmont Abbey was able to hang on for the win. After a scoreless first inning in game two, both teams would score a run in the second with North Greenville's coming from a solo shot by
David Lewis. NGU added a run in the third and another in the fifth before pulling away for good with an eight run sixth inning including a two-run double by
Marek Chlup. Pitching would control the remainder of the game as North Greenville would go on to take the win as well as the series.
Matthew Taubensee was the winning pitcher.
