Tigerville – North Greenville welcomes Stewart Hunt back to North Greenville as the newest wide receivers coach for NGU football.
Hunt comes to North Greenville from Northwestern High School where he served as running backs coach and recruiting coordinator for the Trojans. Hunt coached a pair of the state's top running backs during his time in Rock Hill.
Stewart Hunt is a North Greenville alum, playing both football and baseball for the Crusaders. He was part of North Greenville baseball team to win the Conference Carolinas Championship in 2015 and also won an NCCAA Victory Bowl with North Greenville football the prior fall of 2014. Hunt earned his degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from NGU in 2016. Hunt's first coaching stint was with NGU baseball from 2016 – 2018. He helped lead North Greenville to a league championship.
He began coaching football at the collegiate level in 2018 down the road at Furman University, working with the team's wide receivers while serving as the assistant special teams coordinator from 2018 – 2019. During his time at Furman, he worked with All Conference wide receiver Thomas Gordon and All Conference Kicker Grayson Adkins.
Hunt then moved to Clinton, South Carolina at Presbyterian College where he gained experience working with the Blue Hose running backs and special team's coordinator in 2020. He assumed the duties of Recruiting Coordinator for PC during the 2021 season. At Presbyterian he coached All – Conference running back Delvecchio Powell.
Stewart Hunt is a South Carolina Native, attending Northwestern High School where he played three sports for the Trojans and was an All – Region performer. He won a State Championship with the Trojans in 2010.
Hunt is married to Deanna Hunt, and they have one child, Skylar.
