The North Greenville Crusaders returned back to a .500 record with a sweep of the USC Beaufort Sand Sharks, winning game one with a score of 7-1 and a game two score of 3-0 in Hardeeville, South Carolina. North Greenville took an early lead when
Brianna McRae hit a solo shot to put the Crusaders on the board in the first. NGU consistently added to their lead throughout game one, scoring at least one run in the first five innings. The Sand Sharks were able to get on the board with a run in the fifth, but North Greenville would hang on for the win.
Maddie Gore took the win, relieving
Sydney Clark in the first inning and pitching 7.0 strong innings.
Karley Green took the mound for the start in game two. The first three innings went scoreless, but NGU would get on the board first in the fourth with RBI singles by
Virginia Bishop and
Ali Hartin. Bishop would drive in another run with an RBI single in the sixth. Green was able to complete the shutout and complete game by retiring the Sand Sharks in the seventh.
