Tigerville – North Greenville upped its record to 4 – 3 on Friday night with a 14 – 6 win over Shorter University.
The Crusaders scored first less than two – minutes in the first quarter and never trailed. Defensively the Crusaders held the Hawks to just two goals in the first half, one in each of the first and second quarters. Meanwhile NGU's attack delivered seven first half goals to carry a 7 – 1 lead in to half. North Greenville's best quarter came in the third scoring six goals while allowing one. The Crusaders finished with 20 shots on goal and 36 shots total while holding Shorter to just 12 shots on goal and 17 total.
Individual
- Dani O'Meara lead the Crusaders with three goals. She had a pair of groundballs and caused two turnovers.
- Emma Mayew and Kayla Harris both had two goals.
- Danielle LaPlume led NGU with four grounders and picked up four draw controls. She also caused a pair of turnovers.
- McKenna Keys allowed just three goals and finished with five saves.
