The North Greenville Crusaders have clinched their second conference series of the season and remained undefeated with after a Friday doubleheader that resulted in 5-3 and 16-5 victories over the Patriots of Francis Marion University this afternoon in Florence, South Carolina. Both teams scored early on in the first inning of game one, with NGU putting four runs on the board and the Patriots responding in the bottom of the inning. The 4-2 score favoring NGU would remain the same until the top of the 8th when North Greenville put an insurance run on the board. FMU would put up a fight with a run in the bottom of the ninth, but
Nate Roof would go on to retire the side and earn his third save of the season.
Myles Daniels was the winning pitcher. Game two was thoroughly dominated by the Crusaders, who scored in all but one inning and put up a total of sixteen runs and fifteen hits on the board. Starter
