Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders remained perfect in conference play with a 3-0 sweep of the Lees-McRae Bobcats tonight at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU led in attack percentage for all three sets, finishing with a .324 percentage while limiting the Bobcats to a .132 percentage. The Crusaders led the night in kills, blocks, assists, and digs while also dominating in service aces 9-2.
NGU controlled set one throughout and went on to take it with a score of 25-15. After a quick 3-1 lead by Lees-McRae, the Crusaders quickly responded to take the lead and did not relinquish it, going on to win the second set 25-19. Set three proved to be the most dominant of the match for North Greenville, who put things on ice early with a 17-8 lead. After a 3-1 run by the Bobcats, NGU bounced back by taking the final four points to win the set 25-13.
Abigail Durham posted a dominant performance, finishing with 16 kills, 9 digs, and a block assist.
Samantha Ball posted 12 kills, 12 digs, 3 service aces, and an assist.
Elena Dyer recorded 6 kills, 2 block assists, and 2 digs.
NGU will return to action on Friday, October 6th in Spartanburg, South Carolina against the Converse Valkyries.
