Tigerville – North Greenville put together its best all-around performance on Saturday to earn a 34 – 10 blow-out win over Mississippi College on Homecoming weekend.
The Crusaders amassed 618 yards of total offense in a dominant performance on Saturday while holding the Choctaws to just 295-yards.
North Greenville scored a touchdown on all but one possession in the first half.
Corey Watkins scored his team-high eighth rushing touchdown while
Dre' Williams reeled in a 91 – yard touchdown pass to make it 14 – 0.
Ahmari Coats caught a touchdown pass from
Quentin Sanders while
Dylan Ramirez took it in from a yard out to give North Greenville a 28 – point first half. The Choctaws would score 10 in the first half to make it 28 – 10 in favor of the Crusaders.
Colin Karhu accounted for the only points of the second half with a pair of field goals, the longest of which was 33 – yards.
Defensively, North Greenville pitched a second half shutout. NGU defenders were dominant, holding Mississippi College to just 117 -yards total in the third and fourth quarters.
Dylan Ramirez connected on 16 of 20 passes for 293 – yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 64 – yards and a score.
Corey Watkins led all rushers with 156 – yards on 19 carries and a score.
Dre Williams had 156 – yards on six catches and a score while
Ahmari Coats finished the day with 62 – yards on two catches and a touchdown.
James Wells led the Crusaders with seven tackles on the day.
Jaylin Davis receovered a fumble for NGU while Keygan Mayffield picked off his first pass of the season.
