Tigerville - North Greenville overcame large deficit in the second half but the West Florida Argonauts used big plays to down the Crusaders in a 48 - 24 Gulf South showdown at Younts Stadium.
North Greenville opened the scoring with a 20 - yard field goal from
Colin Karhu. West Florida would go on to score 20 – unanswered points to close the half ahead 20 – 3.
The momentum shifted early in the second half after North Greenville's defense forced a punt on the West Florida opening drive. North Greenville took the kick and marched 66 – yards on eight plays for the first touchdown of the night.
Corey Watkins scampered in from seven yards to cut the UWF lead to 20 – 10. It was the first rushing touchdown of the season for the Crusaders.
North Greenville trailed 27 – 10 later in the half before
Cole Richardson's first touchdown catch of the season. Richardson reeled in a pass from
Dylan Ramirez and rumbled in from 34 – yards away to Pull North Greenville to within a touchdown. The Crusaders inched closer a few drives later when
Jerrick Foster returned an Argos fumble 48 – yards for a score. The touchdown was the first defensive score of the season for NGU and pulled North Greenville to within a field goal.
Werst Florida answered NGU with 21 – unanswered points to close out the game. The Argos hit on a pair of long passes and a 57 – yard run to close the door on NGU's upset bid.
North Greenville finished with 298 – yards overall, 176 through the air and another 128 on the ground.
Corey Watkins led all rushers with 114 – yards on 21 – carri9es and accounted for NGU's first rushing touchdown of the season.
Cole Richardson had 79 – yards on eight catches and a score to lead NGU in receiving.

De'Iveon Donald led North Greenville with nine tackles followed by
Fred Billy who had eight.
EJ Bradford Led NGU with two pass break-ups.
