Tigerville – North Greenville put together back-to-back quarters with six goals on Saturday and held off an Emmanuel rally in the third quarter to earn a 20 – 7 win over the Lions.
The Crusaders scored 12-goals between the second and third period to put some space between them and the lions. North Greenville led 10 – 2 heading in the third period but the Lions put together their best offensive showing of the game to open the second half. Emmanuel outscored NGU 4 – 2 in the opening minutes of the quarter to cut in to deficit.
The Crusaders answered with four of the next five to regain the edge and tacked on four goals in the fourth frame to take a 10 – point edge.
10 different players scored for North Greenville including
Dani O'Meara led NGU with five goals followed by
Kaitlin O'Brien who had four.
Danielle LaPlume led all players with 10 draw controls and paired it with six groundballs and five caused turnovers.
McKenna Kees earned the win in the net recording two saves.
