North Greenville Falls to Belmont Abbey

The North Greenville Crusaders fell victim to the high-powered offense of Belmont Abbey College tonight with a final score of 23-8 at Alumni Field in Belmont, North Carolina. After BAC scored the opening point, Emma Mayew quickly tied things back up with a goal that was assisted by Kaitlin O'Brien. However, from there Belmont Abbey would score five in a row and until the end of the 3rd quarter would score three goals for every North Greenville goal to pull ahead 18-5. NGU's only goal streak would come at the end of the 3rd with two consecutive goals. After four goals by BAC in the 4th, Emma Mayew would score one last goal. Belmont Abbey would get the final goal in the closing seconds. McKenna Kees played the 1st quarter as the NGU goalie but recorded the loss. On a positive note, the two teams finished the match even in draw controls with sixteen each.
