For the first time in program history, the North Greenville Crusaders have clinched the Conference Carolinas regular season championship with a 3-1 victory over the Lions of Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. In addition, the win is head coach
Dr. Fred Battenfield's 100th victory at North Greenville. Statistically, the matched proved to be an even one as the two teams finished the match tied in aces, blocks, and assists. However, attack errors told the story as the Crusaders led a consistent attack as the Lions struggled to limit errors as the match went on.
