North Greenville Completes Sweep of King

Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders scored a total of twenty runs throughout the day while limiting the King Tornado to four runs, completing the series sweep this afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field with final scores of 14-3 and 6-1. After two scoreless innings to start off the first game of the doubleheader, the Crusaders would score all fourteen runs in just four innings. John Michael Faile started off the scoring with a three-run home run. Reece Fields, who pitched 6.0 innings as the starter, was the winning pitcher. Game two proved to be the most competitive of the series, with both teams scoring a run in the 1st. Things would remain tied until the 4th when Jax Cash knocked in a single up the middle. The Crusaders would go on to pull away in the 8th with four runs. Noah Takac relieved starter Michael Rodriguez in the 2nd inning and pitched 5.0 strong innings to earn the win.
