NGU Dominant in Midweek Game Against Newberry

The North Greenville Crusaders continued to roll with a 9-2 victory over the Wolves of Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina. NGU posted fourteen hits, all of them singles, while pitching staff limited Newberry to just four hits and three walks allowed for the evening. After a scoreless 1st, the Crusaders put together a three run 2nd inning that including RBI singles by Cory Bivins and Darrien Whitaker. In the 4th, North Greenville extended the lead with five runs including a two-run double by Marek Chlup. Newberry responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Things would then go scoreless until the 9th inning when Darrien Whitaker singled up the middle to drive in another run before Tristen Hudson closed things out with a perfect bottom of the inning. Seth Chestnut, who pitched the opening 3.0 innings, received the win.
