Tigerville – North Greenville fell to 1 – 2 in league play on Saturday after a 21 – 5 loss to league leading Mount Olive in Pepsi Stadium.
The Trojans jumped out to a big lead on the Crusaders scoring eight consecutive goals. The lead was trimmed in the first quarter when
Emma Mayew added NGU's first goal with a minute left in the period.
The two teams traded scores with
Dani O'Meara adding a second goal for NGU which made it 9 – 2. O'Meara added her second score of the game later in the second frame while
Kaitlin O'Brien also scored. North Greenville trailed 14 – 4 at the intermission.
The Crusaders were held scoreless in the third period while the Trojans tacked on five unanswered goals, extending the lead to 19 – 4. The lone second half goal for North Greenville came in the fourth period from O'Brien for her second of the day.
O'Meara and O'Brien led North Greenville with a pair of goals each in Saturday's game. North Greenville fell to 3 – 8 overall.
