Jenna Hewes Hits Grand Slam in Sweep of Claflin

Tigerville, SC - North Greenville extended its winning streak to four with an 18-4 and 12-6 sweep of the Claflin Panthers on a sunny afternoon at Jan McDonald Field. It was a productive day at the plate for the Crusaders as the offense would record a total of twenty-three hits including seven doubles and two home runs. NGU also proved to be threats on the base paths as eight stolen bases were recorded throughout the afternoon, with five of them by Madison PrideJenna Hewes had the highlight of the day with a grand slam in game two. Crusader pitching began both games on a rough note but recovered with four shutout innings to close out both games. Morgan Hatchell and Hailey Wells picked up wins.
