Tigerville, SC - North Greenville began a weekend conference series against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders with 6-1 victory this afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. NGU's lineup put together six runs on eleven hits and three walks. However, it was the pitching staff that dominated the afternoon, holding BAC to just one hit and three walks.
Jax Cash recorded his second win of the season, pitching 5.0 strong innings and allowing just a walk and an unearned run due to two errors. Belmont Abbey's lone hit wouldn't come until the 8th inning when Ben Ferguson doubled down the right field line to end the combined no-hitter.
