Tigerville – North Greenville came up short on Saturday to Chowan, falling 85-80 to the Hawks in an overtime thriller.
North Greenville had four players in double-figures led by
Tolisha Walker who finished with 15-points and eight rebounds.
Jykya Bell finished with the game's only double-double, scoring 13-points while collecting 10-rebounds.
Jayda Glass finished with 13-points while
Haylee Luttrell had 10-points.
North Greenville trailed by eight points with just three minutes left in the game before the Crusaders began trimming the lead.
Tolisha Walker helped power the late comeback with four points in the final minutes.
Jayda Glass would send the game to overtime, hitting the back-end of a 1-in-1 to even it at 74.
The Hawks took an early lead in overtime before a pair of free throws by Walker evened it up at 76. Chowan would score the next six to regain a lead at 82-76. The Crusaders trimmed the deficit to four points twice in the final minute of play with field goals from
Abi Oates and then from Halee Luttrell before time ran out.
