North Greenville forced overtime but ultimately fell to the Tornado of King University with a final score of 79-75 in Bristol, Tennessee. A total of 21 offensive rebounds for both teams led to plenty of second chance points as NGU narrowly led the category 19-17. However, North Greenville was unable to capitalize on turnovers with just five points coming off turnovers while the Tornado posted twenty. Thanks to an ice cold start by King, the Crusaders were able to lead the 1st quarter with a score of 14-5. The Tornado would recover, however, outscoring NGU in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Down by a point late in the 4th quarter,
Tolisha Walker would tie the game with a layup which would go on to force overtime. The overtime period was a high-scoring one as the two teams would combine for a total of 26 points. North Greenville led by as much as three in the period, but fouls would allow King to score nine points worth of free throws including six of the final eight points to win by four.
