The North Greenville Crusaders put up one of its highest point total of the season but ultimately came up just short in a high-scoring matchup with the Patriots of Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. NGU posted a solid .493 field goal percentage but were simply unable to stop the high-scoring Patriot offense that included a historical performance by Jonah Pierce who went twelve for twelve from the field. The Crusaders led by as much as thirteen in the 1st half and went on to take a seven point lead into halftime. However, a jump shot by
Draylan Burton was all that NGU would put up in the first four and a half minutes of the second half, allowing FMU to jump out to a four point lead. After the lead changed teams several times, the Patriots continued to carry the momentum, eventually taking a nine point lead. North Greenville would then score seven straight to cut the deficit down to two, and from there the game became a barn burner. Tied with just seconds remaining, Francis Marion would close out the game with a final three pointer to escape with the victory.
