To cap off his many accolades for his historic 2021 season, John Michael Faile has been named the Herff Jones Conference Carolinas Male Athlete of the Year, the Conference Carolinas announced earlier today. Faile is North Greenville's second male athlete to receive the award as former teammate Utah Jones also earned the award in the 2019 season. 

The redshirt sophomore from Boiling Springs, SC was a unanimous 1st Team All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American and was also named Division II's Most Valuable Player by Perfect Game last week. He finished the 2021 season with a .438 AVG and also broke the program's single-season record with 23 home runs.
