Tigerville, SC - North Greenville escaped elimination from the Southeast Regional Tournament with a 12-8 win over the Indians of Catawba College this afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. The Crusaders fell behind by a run in the 7th inning, but would score six runs in the 8th and hang on for the win. With the win, NGU will face the Cougars of Columbus State University in an elimination game tomorrow.
Josh Senter led the offense for North Greenville with three hits, two home runs, and four RBIs.

- The Crusaders were able to get on the board early with four runs in the 1st including a two-run home run by Josh Senter. All four runs were unearned due to an error. In the 3rd, Catawba would get on the board with two solo home runs to make the score 4-2. However, John Michael Faile would respond in the bottom of the inning with a two-run home run to put the Crusaders back up by four. The Indians would score two runs in both the 4th and 5th innings to tie things back up at 6-6. In the 7th, Catawba would take their first and only lead of the game with an RBI single. Down by one, the Crusaders would put up a six-run 8th inning that was capped off by another two-run shot by Josh Senter. Catawba would get one more run on the board in the 9th and load the bases, but Christian Ryder would record the final out to record the save and keep NGU alive.
