Tigerville, SC - In a roller coaster of a match, the North Greenville Crusaders defeated the Chowan Hawks in five sets at Hayes Gymnasium. The match proved to be all about momentum swings as points were scored in bunches by both teams throughout. Chowan would take the first and third sets while NGU took the 2nd and 4th sets to require a fifth. North Greenville would dominate the final set to end any doubt.
Abigail Durham had a career night with 24 kills and a .390 attack percentage.

Recap
- After the Crusaders began the match with a 4-2 lead in set 1, Chowan would put together an 8-2 run to lead 10-6. An 9-2 run including six points in a row by the Hawks would soon follow, and without any issue the Hawks would go on to take the opening set 25-15. North Greenville posted a negative attack percentage for the set, the only set in the match that would be done.
- North Greenville would respond well in the 2nd set, jumping out to a commanding 12-3 lead. A big improvement from the first set, NGU recorded a .290 attack percentage for the set, easily taking it 25-14.
- The Crusaders put themselves in good position in the 3rd set by jumping out to a 7-3 lead, but the Hawks would remain within striking distance throughout the set. Near the end of the set, Chowan would indeed strike as a 6-1 run to end the set would results in a 26-24 win for the Hawks.
- Chowan scored the first point to begin set four, but North Greenville would fight back with seven straight points including two kills by Abigail Durham. Momentum would stay on NGU's side throughout the entire set, and North Greenville would win it with a dominating score of 25-10 to force a fifth set.
- Set five began on an even note for the two teams, but NGU would put an end to that with a 9-1 run to lead 12-4. An attack error would give the Hawks one final point, but they would return the favor as two attack errors ended the set to give NGU the match win.

- Abigail Durham had a career night, posting 24 kills out of 41 attacks, 5 digs, 3 service aces, and 2 assists.
- Paige Beisecker recorded 13 kills, 2 block assists, 2 digs, and a service ace.
