Greenville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders achieved a 5-2 victory over the Lander Bearcats at Fluor Field at the West End. The Crusaders outhit the Bearcats 10-5 including a triple by Doug Angeli. Brent Herlong recorded his second win of the season.

Recap

• After two scoreless innings to begin the night, the Crusaders would get on the board in the top of the 3rd when John Michael Faile knocked in two runners with a single to left field. Marek Chlup would add a third run in the inning with his own RBI single to left field. Lander would respond in the bottom of the inning when a leadoff triple resulted in a run due to a throwing error. However, Gehrig Octavio would get the run back with an RBI single through the right side. Pitching would take over until the top of the 9th when Marek Chlup recorded his second RBI of the game with a singled through the left side. Lander scored one run in the bottom of the inning, but Tristen Hudson would record the final out to preserve the win for North Greenville.

• Marek Chlup went 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 RBIs and a walk.
