NGU fell victim to the Tornado of King University with a final score of 71-53 this afternoon at Student Complex Center in Bristol, Tennessee. Second chance points proved to be key as King would score 15 while the Crusaders failed to score any. The Tornado would record a total of 18 offensive rebounds while NGU managed just 3.
Savannah Hughes led North Greenville in points with 17.

Recap
- The Crusaders were able to get off to a good start, scoring the first five points of the game. King responded with two straight three pointers to take an 8-6 lead. From there, the two teams would remain nearly even throughout the remainder of the quarter, with King scoring two free throws late to lead 13-11 heading into the 2nd quarter.
- King began the 2nd with the momentum by scoring six in a row. Just past halfway into the quarter, the Tornado built up a 17 point lead before NGU fought back with a 9-2 run to cut the deficit back to ten. King ended the half with the final five points including a three pointer to lead 40-25 at halftime.
- After King pulled away further with five points to begin the 3rd quarter, the Crusaders responded with six straight points. However, King would take over once again from there, going on a 16-4 run for the rest of the quarter to take a 61-35 lead after three.
- North Greenville did not go down without a fight in the 4th quarter, outscoring the Tornado 18-10 including the final eight points of the game.Â
