Peace Okeke scored her second consecutive double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Karen Donehew led NGU in points with 23.
Before the game even began, Karen Donehew put the Crusaders on the board with two free throws, which were awarded to NGU due to a technical foul because of a malfunctioning shot clock. The Crusaders would score the final three points of the quarter with a free throw and a fast break layup by Peace Okeke to end the first quarter with an eleven point lead.
NGU would take back the momentum and then some with a dominating second quarter. After a quick jump shot by SWU, the Crusaders would go on a run, scoring ten of the next twelve points to lead 38-21. Peace Okeke was a major part of the run as she would hit double digits in points. Southern Wesleyan put up a fight early on in the third quarter to cut the deficit to fourteen points. However, once again the Crusaders would get back on track, scoring ten of twelve points to take a 68-46 lead. SWU's defense would keep North Greenville off the board for several minutes, allowing the Warriors to score five in a row and force a timeout by the Crusaders. That timeout would prove to be effective as the Crusaders would score five of their own including a three pointer by Karen Donehew. Two free throws by Southern Wesleyan made the score 75-55 to end the quarter.
Leading by twenty, the Crusaders seemingly had the game in hand to begin the fourth quarter. However, the Warriors did not give up, putting together a strong 21-5 run to keep North Greenville on its heels. NGU would finally get going with just over three minutes remaining, and would score the final four points of the game by way of free throws to ultimately win the game by eight.
