Tigerville, SC - After a hard fought first half, a struggle of a second half proved to be the difference as NGU ultimately dropped a midweek contest to the Anderson University Trojans 75-63. The Crusaders led in shot percentage for the first half with 41.7% but struggled in the second half with just 37% while the Trojans shot 50.8% from the field including a second half shot percentage of 61.3%. Jalon Cokley led the way for NGU with 19 points.

Anderson mostly led early on before North Greenville was able to tie the score at 10-10. Trailing 12-10, the Crusaders got going with a 10-2 run to take a 20-14 lead. AU would respond to tie the game once again at 21-21. The lead would change several times throughout the remainder of the first half before the two teams would go into halftime tied at 34-34.

After three additional ties in the second half, the Trojans would get going offensively and led by as much as six before NGU fought back with an 8-1 run to gain the lead back. However, North Greenville would go cold from there while the Trojans finished out the game on a hotstreak, ultimately winning the game 75-63.

NGU will face the Pensacola Christian College Eagles tomorrow in Tigerville.
