Box Score Tigerville, SC - North Greenville fell to the Royals of Queen University with a score of 65-59. The Crusaders led 22-13 after the first quarter, but were outscored in the remaining quarters throughout the game. Savannah Hughes was the leading scorer for NGU with 18 points.
1st Quarter
North Greenville started the game in dominating fashion, leading 17-2 just five minutes into the game. Although Queens scored the final seven points of the quarter, the Crusaders still took a strong lead into the end of the quarter with a score of 22-13.
2nd Quarter
The Royals came storming back early in the quarter with a 13-2 run to lead 26-24. Closing out the quarter, both teams would go over two minutes without a point, but a jumper by Queens and a three-pointer by Karen Donahew for NGU made the score tied 28-28 at the half. NGU shot 33.3% from the field with Donehew and Savannah Hughes both scoring eight points to lead the Crusaders in scoring for the half.
3rd Quarter
Both teams would shoot well throughout the quarter. NGU's final lead of the game would come with 6:57 remaining in the quarter when Bree Stoddard connected for a three-pointer to put the Crusaders up 36-34. With the game tied 47-47 late in the quarter, Queens would connect on a jump shot to take a two-point lead into the 4th quarter.
4th Quarter
Queens score the first three point of the quarter, but two three-pointers by Journey Muhammed close the Royal lead to two points. However, Queens would respond with a six-point run of their own to lead by eight. The Crusaders kept the score close, but were unable to complete the comeback. NGU shot 35.7% from the field for the half. Savannah Hughes led the half in point with 10.

Savannah Hughes had a strong game with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
Karen Donehew hit double digits in points once again with 13. She contributed in multiple ways, also posting 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists.
Journey Muhammed scored 6 poins and recorded 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.
