Box Score Bristol, TN—North Greenville's season came to an end on Monday night following a 77-56 loss to King University in the first round of the Conference Carolinas playoffs.
Cameron Carter ended the season with an 18-point performance, finishing with five assists and six rebounds. Tyler Powers wrapped up her career with 15-points, going 5-8 from three-point range. Erika Cobb also finished in double-figures with 11-points.
The Crusaders led 15-14 after one quarter of play but the Tornado carried an 11-point lead into halftime as they outscored North Greenville 21-9 in the second quarter. NGU trailed by as many 10 in the second frame but cut the lead to five after a Ty Broadwater jumper and a Cobb three. The Tornado would close the half on a 6-0 run to earn a 35-24 lead.
NGU would trail by as many as 20-points in the second quarter but cut the deficit to 13-points with 8:01 left in the game. King would outscore NGU 16-9 in the final 7:52 to advance to the second round of the playoffs while NGU's season came to an end.
The Crusaders finish the season 11-19 overall with a 9-13 mark in Conference Carolinas play.
