Denmark, S.C.—The North Greenville women’s basketball team picked up its first win of the 2013-2014 season on Saturday, taking a 71-63 decision over Voorhess college.

Timisty Nelson finished with a game high 21 points, her highest total of the season. Alisha Hope scored 15 for the Crusaders while Tyler Powers was 4-10 from three and finished with 13 points. NGU is now 1-1 on the season, and will open the home portion of the schedule on November 20th against Belmont Abbey.

North Greenville and Belmont will also mark the opening of Conference Carolinas play. More details from Saturday’s game between the Crusaders and Voorhees will be provided as they become available.
