Coach Chad Lister went 14 deep in his roster and all but one player scored as the Crusader men (1-3) gained their first win of the year with a 79-57 road victory over Warren Wilson College (3-6) near Asheville, NC.
Junior Kyler Vitko scored 11 points and freshman Tait Oliver contributed 10 as NGU used its depth and a blistering full court press to force Warren Wilson into repeated turnovers. Lister’s squad also shot 55% from the field and responded with a 9-15 three-point barrage after going 0-16 this past Saturday against King College.
“We had a very good road win,” Lister said. “No one played more than 20 minutes so we had a complete team effort tonight.”
Next up for the Crusaders is a home contest Wednesday, Dec. 3 against Mars Hill at Hayes Gym in Tigerville.
