Box Score The North Greenville Trailblazers put up a solid fight this afternoon in Young Harris, Georgia but ultimately fell to the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College with a final score of 57-53. North Greenville trailed by just three points at the end of the 1st quarter, but responded by outscoring the Mountain Lions in the 2nd quarter by four to take a one point lead into halftime. NGU pulled away from Young Harris in the 3rd quarter, at one point leading by as much as eleven. However, a late run by YHC in the quarter cut the North Greenville lead down to three heading into the 4th quarter. The Trailblazers put up the opening points in the quarter, but would remain stuck at fifty points throughout the majority of the quarter. Young Harris struggled offensively as well, but was able to eventually take the lead, leading by as much as six with less than thirty seconds left. A
Jayla Cook free throw finally ended the scoring drought.
Janyia Williams hit a jumper, but by then it would be too late as YHC would hang on for a four point win. Fouls played a major factor throughout the contest as North Greenville nearly doubled Young Harris in personal fouls, leading to thirty-one free throws with twenty of them made by the Mountain Lions compared to just ten with four made for NGU.
Jayla Cook led NGU in points with 12 and recorded 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.
