Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers ended their losing streak at eight as they defeated the Braves of UNC Pembroke with a final score of 64-63 at Hayes Gymnasium. After trailing by five at the end of the 3rd quarter, NGU came through in the 4th with fifteen points while limiting the Braves to nine, getting the win by a point. UNC Pembroke had the final possession, but was unable to get a final shot off. Although North Greenville struggled in three point territory, making just two of fourteen three-pointers, they made up for it in points off turnovers, leading the stat 19-7. The Trailblazers dominated inside the paint, which made up forty-four points.
Maliyah Mason dominated inside the paint, finishing with 18 points and nearing a double-double with 9 points and also providing 2 assists.
Kayla Gaston posted 13 points and 3 rebounds.
Ja'sia Booth finished with 10 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, and a steal.
North Greenville will face the Tornado of King University on Wednesday, February 25th in their final regular season game of the season at Hayes Gymnasium.
