Tigerville – A late rally fell just short on Friday evening in a 15-13 loss to Montevallo.
North Greenville faced a first half deficit, trailing the Flacons 9 – 4 at halftime. Montevallo scored the first three goals of the game before
Kylie Keen broke through for NGU with a score to make it 3 – 1. Keen would score once more in the first period with another pair of scores coming from
Dani O'Meara.
The Crusaders trailed 11 – 6 heading to the fourth quarter. The Falcons tacked on three more scores in the third period with Kaitlyn O'Brien and O'Meara answering for NGU with a goal each.
Kylie Keen led the Crusaders with six goals on the day.
The Crusaders trialed 15 – 9 with just over six-minutes left in the game but a flurry of unanswered scores cut the deficit.
Ainsley Woodham scored the first of four straight for NGU which made it 15 – 10.
Kylie Keen added her fifth and sixth goals of the game while
Kayla Harris also scored before time ran out.
Keen led the Crusaders with six goals on the day while O'Meara added three scores of her own and an assist.
Tori Smith finished the day with six saves in the net.
