North Greenville rally falls short against Montevallo

Box Score Tigerville – North Greenville rallied late to even the score but Montevallo responded with pair of late scores to earn an 13-11 win over the Crusaders.

Recap
  • Montevallo took a two-goal lead early only to see North Greenville respond with back-to-back scores to even it up. The Falcons ended the first period scoring three-straight to take an 8-5 lead in to intermission.
  • North Greenville trailed throughout the second half by as many as three, but a goal from Emma Mayew cut the lead to 10-9 with 12:07 left in the contest. Less than three-minutes later, Rachel Kellogg would even the tally at 10-all. 
  • Kellogg's fourth score of the game would answer a Montevallo score and even it at 11-11. The Falcons responded with a pair of unanswered scores, the last coming with 2:29 left to pull ahead of NGU for good. 
 Individual  
  • Olivia Folz joined Kellogg as the leading goal scorers in Friday's games with four scores each. 
  • Bridget Sewell led NGU defenders with a pair of caused turnovers while Sydney Ormond had three groundballs along with Olivia Folz. 
  • Karlee Jenks finished the day with eight saves in the net.
