North Greenville Dominates Southern Wesleyan

The North Greenville Trailblazers put together a dominant performance, cruising to a 24-2 victory over Southern Wesleyan this afternoon in Central, South Carolina.

North Greenville took complete control from the opening draw, jumping out to an 8-0 lead by the end of the 1st quarter. The Trailblazers continued to build on that momentum in the 2nd, outscoring Southern Wesleyan 4-1 to take a commanding 12-1 advantage into halftime. NGU never let up in the second half, adding six goals in both the 3rd and 4th quarters while holding the Warriors to just one goal over the final 30 minutes to secure the one-sided victory.

The Trailblazers dominated statistically, outshooting Southern Wesleyan 32-9 and controlling possession with a 19-8 edge in draw controls. North Greenville also held advantages in ground balls (24-16) and clears.

Josie Rose, Caroline Rider, and Kami Straub each led the offense with 4 goals each, while Judy Rose added 3 goals and a team-high 4 assists. Isabella Ortiz and Mary Regan each recorded 2 goals, with Regan also adding an assist. Aubree Mayse contributed across the board with a goal and 2 assists, while Ava Walls added a goal and 2 assists in the win.

In goal, Sydney Spelman earned the victory with 3 saves while allowing just 2 goals over 45 minutes of action, helping anchor a strong defensive effort.

NGU will wrap up the regular season on Thursday, April 16th against the Bobcats of Lees-McRae at Pepsi Stadium.
